Precautions at Hilton Barbados

As we at the Hilton Barbados Resort welcome you to our beautiful island, there are a number of precautions and safeguards being implemented to protect, both visitors and locals while on island. Remember to check the protocols prior to your departure as the current protocols are constantly changing.

The way we travel looks a little different right now and we want to update you on a few things should you choose our hotel.

As at May 8, 2021, Fully Vaccinated Travelers

 

Fully vaccinated travelers will be required to:

  • Take a PCR Test – Within 3 days of arrival
  • Take a Rapid PCR test on arrival at the airport
  • Fully enjoy Barbados same day or 1-2 days, on return of negative test result

 

Unvaccinated Travelers

 

Unvaccinated travelers will be required to:

  • Take a PCR Test – Within 3 days of arrival
  • Take a PCR Test 5 days after arrival with an approximate total quarantine period of 7-8 days (5 days quarantine plus return of test results)

 

For unvaccinated travelers there is a special “While you Wait” rate which includes meals for the duration of your stay in quarantine.

For your testing needs, outlined below are third party service providers that you may reach out to, to coordinate your test.

The hotel does not take responsibility for the tests, test results or variations in prices, third party providers or any matters pertaining to the tests and results.

Masks and Face Coverings

 

The safety and well-being of our guests and our team members are our utmost priority. While on property masks and or face coverings will be required in all indoor public areas. Effective February 3, 2021, mask wearing in Barbados will be mandatory except for those who cannot wear a face covering as a result of a physical condition or other special circumstances.

FAQ’s:

 

Do you offer on-site COVID-19 tests?
Guests visiting Hilton Barbados Resort can access COVID-19 testing options through a third-party on-site medical provider.

Are appointments required?
Yes, appointments are required. Walk in service is not available. Registration for next day appointments closes at 5pm and appointments will best be accommodated by reserving in advance.

How can guests make an appointment?
Guests should contact the hotel directly at 246 426 0200 or email: Reservations.Barbados@hilton.com for information. Hilton Barbados Resort can connect guests with the third-party medical provider to make appointments directly.

How much does the test cost?
Test prices vary. The third-party medical provider will offer pricing details based on the guest’s specific testing requirements.

Can I charge the test cost to my room?
Payment will be made directly to the third party provider. Credit card payments are the only available method of payment. Room charges are not available.

How long will the test results take?
Test results performed by the onsite provider will be available within 48 hours of testing if not earlier. Depending on the lab capacity, there may be delays in providing test results. In such instances be prepared for a possible extension.

What amenities are open?
Lighthouse Terrace Restaurant, Cuppa Café and Water’s Edge Restaurant and Bar, Hilton Fitness by Precor, Eforea Spa, Kids Club, pool and beach facilities are open and fully functional. The opening and operations of these amenities are currently mandated by the Government of Barbados COVID-19 directives. Please review the protocols of Barbados prior to travel.

These amenities are available to guests who have received a second negative PCR test and are no longer in quarantine.

Housekeeping and Laundry Services available
In keeping with our health and safety protocols our housekeeping and laundry services will not be available while you are in quarantine. However, additional amenities can be delivered to your room as required.
